What to include on your Barcelona Wedding Website

Our Barcelona Brides often ask us what they should include on their Barcelona Wedding Website. The list is endless and it’s hard to decide what’s really important. You don’t want to overload your Barcelona Wedding guests with too much information. So our best suggestion is to start out by thinking of them. What do you imagine your guests’ questions to be? These are the details that need to be included on your Barcelona Wedding Website. Of course the more relevant details you have, the less your guests will be bombarding you with questions. So let’s start with the basics and go from there ❤️

The Basics and Practical Information

-Exact venue address including the street, city and country.

-Bus pick up information- our buses normally pick up guests outside Hard Rock cafe on Plaza Catalunya. Google Map link here.

-Contact details and emergency phone numbers. These are always handy, you want your Barcelona Wedding guests to feel taken care of especially if they are not experienced travellers.

-Weather & dress code: we can help advice on weather and recommended dress code. For the months of May and even June it’s always best to bring a shawl or jacket especially if your venue is on the coast or high up in the mountains. In terms of dress code this will depend on you and your venue. Will it be black tie or more casual? What about the pre Barcelona wedding events will they be held in a beach chiringuito or in a formal restaurant? All of these factors will impact the dress code.

-Gifts: If you’re asking for contributions towards your wedding fund make sure to include your paypal or account details on the wedding website.

-Bridal party and usher introductions: this is always a nice thing to include.

-Tips for getting from the airport-we always recommend the aerobus (easiest and drops you in either Plaza España or Plaza Catalunya) or the train which goes from terminal 1 and drops you directly in paseo de gracia). Or general info about renting a car- will your guests need an international license?

Also many couples include an FAQ section on their website, maybe you want to consider adding some of the below questions.

1) When is the RSVP deadline?
2) Can I bring a date?
Please check your invite for your +1. If you have any questions please contact _
3) Are kids welcome?
4) What will the weather be like?
5) Where should I park?
6) What should I wear?

7) Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

8) What kind of shoes should/shouldn’t I wear?

9) Whom should I call with questions?

The Extras and Personal Touches

-Advice about changing money (it’s never a good idea to do it here in Barcelona). We recommend using a preloaded currency card such as Fairfax.com or similar. Bank and currency exchange fees are high here.

-Travel Tips and Tips for bargain flight hunting: You can advice your Barcelona Wedding guests to set a google flight alert. This allows them to set rate alerts for different flight combinations and they should set as any many combos as possible and consider being flexible on travel dates and city pairs. For example. If they are flying NY to BCN they should search NYC- BCN and BOS-BCN and not just limit it to NYC or just JFK. Anytime a flight pops up below $500, encourage people to buy immediately. US carriers allow for a 24 hour cancellation so it’s better to get the deal and then cancel if they don’t need it or it doesn’t work, rather than wait and miss out on the deal. Google will send them an email when a rate drops. Also, theflightdeal.com and secretflying.com often publish deals and will say the dates the deals work for.

-Recommended bars and sightseeing tips for your Barcelona wedding guests (You can check out this post on our blog which you could use or we can draft something similar with your requirements).

  • Boat charter
  • Paella class (Cook and Taste are brilliant)

  • Side car tour (The Brightside tours are really great and we can give you a discout code)
