Jade & Ronny’s Elegant Ballet Inspired Wedding
This elegant ballet inspired wedding was truly beautiful. The couple, Ronny and Jade were adorable. Besides being absolutely delightful, they both have similar hobbies and interests. They both love to travel around the world, and do so, together, where and whenever they can. They also have a mutual passion for new and different foods and share a great interest in cultural arts. Ronny proposed very romantically to Jade over Christmas on Jade’s first visit to Ronny’s hometown. Their ideas for a dream wedding were inspired by a fusion of the couple’s own styles and personalities.
This adorable couple’s destination wedding celebrations took place over three days. Starting off with a wonderful welcome reception for guests on the gorgeous rooftop terrace of Hotel Almanac, with the rehearsal, food and drinks on the second day at the stunning La Dama. The third day was the main event, the wedding.
The Dress
Two bridal gowns were used for the special day. Jade’s first dress was a gorgeous, intricately embellished lace gown by signature bridal designer, Romona Keveža.
The Venue
Jade and Ronny had their sights set on a castle wedding. They wanted something in a beautiful and elegant setting, adorned with lots of candles and flowers, with live instrumental music softly playing. Something reflecting both their styles and personalities. Chic and timeless like Jade, yet trendy and quirky like Ronny. Being on a modest budget, they really wanted to blow their guests away with a luxurious, yet fun atmosphere. So, they chose the breath-taking Castell de Sant Marsal, as a wedding venue, just outside the centre of Barcelona. This stunning fairytale castle, with its beautiful Romanesque and Gothic architecture, sprawling grounds and luscious greenery was the perfect choice for this elegant wedding.
The Ceremony
Guests entered to enchanting violin music, with the beautiful Jade walking down the aisle with her father to the classic Pachelbel’s Canon in D. The ceremony itself was performed in the picturesque castle grounds in the glorious, late afternoon sunshine. Led by the celebrant ‘The Wedding Man’, it was a wonderful ceremony, unique and personalised to the couple. After the big kiss, a joyous exit, to “Walking on a Dream” followed, with thousands of white petals cascading down on them from guests.
The Reception
After an exquisite photo shoot with excellent photographer, Raquel Benito, a flock of charming ballerinas appeared to lead people into the reception and first dance. They performed a beautiful sequence to “Waltz of the Flowers”, played by the excellent 22duo on the violin. The couple then shared their first dance (Rather Be), before joining their guests in an alfresco sit-down dinner. There was a magnificent flamenco show both at the beginning of dinner and in the middle with the sensational El Polvori. A sumptuous dinner was rounded off with the traditional cutting of the cake, toasts to the couple and an impressive fireworks display.
Entertainment with an open bar, DJ and Photo Booth took the celebrations into the early hours of the morning
