Georgie & Billy’s Dream Barcelona Wedding: Interview with our Bride
Due to travel restrictions, Georgie and Billy didn’t actually get to see their venue before their big day. But the beautiful La Baronia was all they could have dreamt of and more! They, along with their guests, were taken aback by the stunning Art Nouveau architecture of the main house, the gorgeous grounds, and the amazing views of the surrounding forest. All of this, along with their nearest and dearest, great entertainment, an abundance of delicious food, came together on a glorious September afternoon to make their Dream Barcelona Wedding. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and we are so happy that Georgie and Billy could finally have the day they have waited so patiently for! Georgie told us all about her special day and how it was planning a Barcelona wedding throughout the pandemic.
Describe your dream Barcelona wedding day in 3 words!
Incredible, amazing, dreamy.
What was your favourite memory from your dream Barcelona wedding?
How amazing the venue was! Having never seen it before it was absolutely everything and more! All the touches that Rebecca and the venue made were beautiful and our guests were stunned when they arrived!
Why did you choose Barcelona as your wedding destination?
My Grandpa who is 93 lives in Spain so having our wedding here was special for that reason. Barcelona is an amazing city and Rebecca found us La Baronia – how could we say no??
What did you love most about your wedding dress? How and where did you find it?
The detail and straps! Found at Abigail’s collection – Madilane is the designer. I never wanted a dress like this but when I tried it on I fell in love!
If you did it all again what might you change?
Nothing!! It was perfect!
Tell us about the blooms. What was your favourite thing about your wedding flowers?
The beautiful contrast between the white roses and green!
What is your advice for other couples getting married in Barcelona?
Don’t even question doing it, you will never find venues like La Baronia or any others in the UK, Barcelona is a beautiful city and everyone is so friendly and it’s so easier to travel to and around.
What cultural aspects did you include in your dream Barcelona wedding?
Traditional Spanish elements in our ceremony which differed from UK weddings! TAPAS!!

Client Review
Wow, Rebecca is truly amazing! We started planning our wedding 18 months ago in the middle of the pandemic. Expecting the pandemic to only last a few months we thought September 2021 would be a good time to set our date for! I found Barcelona Brides whilst doing all my research on wedding planners and she was outstanding from the start. Planning a wedding abroad with a full time job is stressful enough let alone doing it in the middle of a pandemic, but Rebecca was always on hand to take the stress away from me. From start to finish Rebecca gave us so many options of venues and suppliers and continuously answered my million questions! We were due to go out to Barcelona on a number of occasions but couldn’t because of the UK restrictions but Rebecca helped us plan everything remotely. On the day of the wedding, we couldn’t have asked for anything more, we got married in a truly amazing place and Rebecca made all of that possible, all her designing and planning was amazing and all our guests were so complimentary of every aspect of our day ? We are so so grateful for all Rebecca’s hard work and would recommend her to help plan anyone’s wedding! xxx
