Describe your Barcelona wedding day in 3 words!
3 words: fun, unique, unforgettable
What was your favourite memory from your Sitges Villa wedding?
Our favorite memory was the first look. The first look was such a special moment for us to remind ourselves of the monumental step we were taking. We did not anticipate being so emotional, but the moment was so special that we couldn’t help but start the waterworks.

Why did you choose your Sitges Villa for your wedding?
We chose Barcelona because my sister has lived there for 7 years and as a result we’ve visited several times together. I studied abroad in Madrid and both Tony and I absolutely love the food and culture in Spain. We chose Casa Felix because we wanted all of our guests to be hosted onsite and have the experience feel like a unique vacation in addition to a wedding. Casa Felix is beautiful and unique, set amongst vineyards and scenic views. We can’t wait to see how our wedding photos turn out, the location was so gorgeous.

What did you love most about your wedding dress? How and where did you find it?
I bought my wedding dress online! The brand is Self Portrait and I loved that it gave me a sense of Spanish, romantic style with tiers of lace. I wanted to feel comfortable and elegant. I also loved that it wouldn’t wrinkle in my carryon!

If you did it all again what might you change?
We honestly can’t think of much! The only change would probably be to buy more snacks and drinks for people to enjoy in their downtime but I think overall they were well fed!
Tell us about the blooms. What was your favourite thing about your flowers at your Sitges villa wedding?
I absolutely loved the color in our flowers. I wanted the overall vibe to be fun and colorful, and Loving the Flowers did exactly that. I was so sad to leave my bouquet in Spain, it was so beautiful.

What is your advice for other couples getting married at your Sitges Villa?
Our advice is to be intentional about the experience you want to create! We took a creative approach and had only friends and siblings at our wedding, which was perfect for us and ultimately created the best vibe ever. We also tried to create an experience that honored the amount of time and travel our guests were committing to be with us, for example, having a relatively casual dress code so men didn’t have to haul their suits internationally. Looking back we are proud of all the little choices that went into such a special event.
What cultural aspects did you include in your Sitges Villa wedding?
We included elements of the Jewish tradition, including breaking the glass and the horah. Our DJ got the party started with the horah right away which was so fun, and then immediately remixed Pepas by Farruko. So iconic.

What song brings you back to the day and why?
Our entrance to the cocktail hour was “These Words” remix with Natasha Bedingfield and Badger. We practiced our dips sooo many times to this song and it was so fun to actually hear it. We did an entrance to the party with “Bring em out” which Tony was really excited about since he lost the debate to have that song in the cocktail hour haha. The music was so fun and DJ Time Machine truly hit all the USA millennial classics that we hoped for.
We are so grateful for our wonderful experience with Kate and Tony and for letting us be part of their big day.

What did Kate & Tony have to say about their experience with Barcelona Brides?
Barcelona Brides made our wedding a dream come true. Coming from California, we knew we would need some help to bring our vision to reality, and Barcelona Brides made the process so smooth. We spent about two years working with them, and honestly the wedding planning process was nothing but fun. From choosing a venue, to food, flowers, and everything in between, the team took care of our every need. They guided us with recommendations (which were all superb) but also helpfully contacted new people when we asked. We had an amazing experience with all our vendors and everything turned out better than we hoped. Our wedding consisted of housing, entertaining, transporting, and feeding ~40 people for three days. Not only did Barcelona Brides create the most magical wedding ceremony and reception, but they helped us with every aspect of our 3 day stay in Sitges. Our wedding was not just a wedding, but an amazing trip that we think our guests will remember forever. The entire team went above and beyond for us, but I have to specifically commend Maily. Not only did she take us on many FaceTime and a real life tour of venues, but she even met us in California over the holidays when she was nearby visiting loved ones. It made the process so fun to get to know her and feel like our vision was going to be perfectly executed in her competent hands. We even had some odd requests, like water aerobics at the pool, and Maily found an amazing local instructor for us. I can’t speak highly enough about this team. We truly adore them and are so grateful for their amazing work. Thank you, Barcelona Brides! With love, Kate and Tony
